Initially we used SIMMS on the $1.2b SRWPA as our purchasing and inventory management system and are now using it on the $320m NPI Stage 2. The system works extremely well as both a purchasing and inventory system. We have just commenced to implement the bar coding module to manage our inventory.

Once we finalized our catalogue & authority matrix is was plain sailing. The time to set up is relatively quick. The time taken to have the relevant people trained in the use is dependent on each individuals experience and willingness to use the system.

In closing, I would like to say that the system is excellent for what we do. As it is also a web based system, it allows approvals and requests for materials to be carried out remotely thus saving time and effort & resources.

I would have no problems in referring them to anybody.
